RESEARCH: EARTHQUAKES AND VOLCANOES

1. How do I find information about specific earthquakes and volcanoes?
a) Look in the subject area of the Library catalog under: EARTHQUAKES, VOLCANOES, EARTH OR PLANTS
b) Click "Browse subjects" in the upper right corner
c) Select a subject heading and look at the titles listed
d) Locate the call number of the book from the record
e) Locate the book on the shelves matching the spine label to the number
f) By using the library's electronic resources, you can find articles in online encyclopedias such as The New Book of Popular Science, World Book Encyclopedia or Grolier. You can find newspaper articles about well known volcanoes and earthquakes from our historical newspaper collection.
