7th Grade History - Constitution/Contemporary Events

In order to find articles from current sources that reflect contemporary issues of Constitutional amendments, you will need to search through the periodical databases:
1. Click on the "Database" page on the Library conference
2. Re-enter your First Class user name and password
3. Open "News" section at top of page
4. You may use the following periodical databases to find information about your constitutional amendment:
ProQuest
- a large database with articles from thousands of newspapers and
magazines
Example search: type "First amendment and constitution" in search
box
eLibrary -
this database has articles from magazines, newspapers, and transcripts from
radio and television broadcasts.
Choose "topics", select "Government>U.S. Government>Constitution>Constitutional
amendments
Look for "Application and interpretation" under some amendments
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
Type in "1st Amendment", "Second Amendment", etc. in the search box
InfoTrac Jr. K-12

5. Use the MLA bibliography style to cite your
sources
